Providing Education Opportunities For Members of Parliament.
Committed to facilitating professional development for Members of Parliament and Ministers across all political parties.
What Is The Parliamentary
Education Trust?
Established in 2019, the Parliamentary Education Trust exists to facilitate professional development for Members of Parliament and Ministers across all political parties, working with various education providers across the country, including Victoria University, the Institute of Directors, the Aspen Institute, and other expert training providers. The Trust is governed by a distinguished group of Trustees, including Katherine Rich, Bill Moran, Bill Birnie, Sir Owen Glenn, Kevin Jenkins, Hon Philip Burdon, and Leadership Coach Jann Watt-Drake.

How We Can
Help You.
We facilitate further education to assist Members of Parliament in their work. While much support is tailored to individual members, we have also worked with a range of respected education providers to offer specialised training and learning opportunities. These include:
- 2-day seminar Perform under Pressure, with Dr Ceri Evans.
- 1.5 day seminar Evidence and Values Based Decision Making (EVBDM), run by the Aspen Institute NZ.
- 5-day residential Directors’ Course, facilitated by the Institute of Directors (IoD).
- Advanced/Speed Reading facilitated by Write Limited.
- Confidential personal development coaching and mentoring.
- Courses offered by Victoria University of Wellington.
